30 Days Writing Challenge by Romeo Moses

Day 1: Describe your personality: I am confident while also assertive and I have been told I am quite funny. I am thoughtful, caring, loyal and kind.

Day 2: Things that make you happy: My kids Adrian, Carly and Tybalt. My husband Julio takes all the pain away and clouds my days with joy.

Day 3: A memory: The day I married Julio in Church in Italy with my Grandparents and in Britain with all of our friends and family.

Day 4: Places you want to visit: I am not really fussy but The Great Wall of China.

Day 5: Your Parents: I love them to death, they taught me basically everything and their marriage is inspiring for my relationship with Julio. When they broke up it broke me but I am happy they made it.

Day 6: Single and Happy: When I was single I thought I was happy but compared to the me in relationships I wasn’t.

Day 7: Favourite Movie: Bridget Jones’s Baby. A tearjerker and her quest for love as well as what she found in her child.

Day 8: The Power of Music: Music has the power to uplift, to evoke emotions, to take you to a certain time, remind you of a smell. Music is pretty powerful.

Day 9: Write about happiness: Happiness is love, it’s laughter, it’s affection and it’s gestures of affection. Happiness is being with friends, watching a movie or a theatre show, it’s being with the one person that you truly love having a moment or just doing the silliest thing.

Day 10: Your best friend: My beautiful hubby Julio Clifford. He is my soulmate, my crush, my ride or die and we have a bromance. I trust him with everything that I have and he is my equal.

Day 11: Talk about your siblings: I love my sisters so, so much. Dawn, Suzie and Sadie you taught me what it was to love and care for somebody first hand. Patrick, my first best friend who I look up to and taught me a lot of things that Mum and Dad couldn’t.

Day 12: Favourite TV Series: Heartstopper. I wish I had the support network of a friendship group when I was younger like Nick and Charlie. I am inspired by the love between Nick and Charlie. I can’t quite believe what I am witnessing when I was them on TV but it is real. I like the background characters too and what they deal with. I have to get around to reading the books.

Day 13: Favourite book: Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone. I read it as a kid and it was the best. I was a fan of the whole hype surrounding the movies of the others books. I hate the way J.K. Rowling hates on trans people but her writing is fucking amazing. I might let Adrian and Carly watch the next Harry Potter TV series.

Day 14: Describe your style: Smart, but casual at the same time. Sometimes I can be in shirt and jeans or a tracksuit with trainers but that is rare for me.

Day 15: If you could run away where would you go?: Ireland or New York.

Day 16: Someone I miss: My Grandfather. My friends Eddie and Gregory who recently passed.

Day 17: Ways to win my heart: Chocolate or beer.

Day 18: About New years Eve: I stay up late with Julio and we drink wine. I even let the babies stay up late and when it hits Twelve we open up the champagne.

Day 19: My first love: A girl from my youth club.

Day 20: Your Celebrity Crush: Paapa Essiedu. I loved him in I May Destroy You.

Day 21: Write about love: Somebody that you would do anything for, who you would die for. Love makes you do things you never thought you were capable of doing and somebody who you would kill for.

Day 22: Write about today: Today I am at home journaling while Julio is downstairs looking after the kids.

Day 23: About Calmness: Being in peace with yourself. Enjoying being alone while also in crowds. Taking those necessary steps for your mental health.

Day 24: Write about a lesson you have learned: I have learned through my love with Julio is to let things happen and to compromise. Also you put in with love to build it up and make it strong. It’s not just the good days but the bad.

Day 25: Something inspired by the 11th image on your phone: A selfie of me and Julio going hiking together. When we hike we catch up on things and go deep in conversation about things we don’t usually talk about.

Day 26: Your School: My school was quite ordinary, we wore blazers and trousers, there was a green area where we would do PE and play football. We had a tennis court and a basketball court too. It was a grammar school I think but looking back we had a lot of facilities.

Day 27: Someone who inspires me: Meghan Markle. How she entered the Royal Family and fell in love with Harry then married him while taking on the negative press who hated her. I think she was brave when she spoke to Oprah about all the hate she received and I love how Prince Harry protects her.

Day 28: Write about loving someone: To devote all your energy to and give all your kindness. To take the good with the bad and not expect perfection because it doesn’t exist. To admire somebody and to put somebody on a pedestal, to love more than your god and to do anything to serve that person.

Day 29: My goals for the future: To be a good husband and a great father. To never let them down as I have been let down in the past. To not commit the same mistakes my family members have done before me and to learn from them.

Day 30: Write about what do you feel when you write: A release of emotions whether it is love or hate.
